Saudi Television Network (STV) has signed a long-term agreement with media consultants Creative Edge. The agreement sees the agency “deliver compelling programme editorial, perform airtime sales for all channels in the STV portfolio as well as ensure a consistent brand approach to the on-air look of the network,” according to a press release announcing the partnership. In line with the new deal, STV is introducing a series of new programming formats soon, including series such as Dragons’ Den and The Cube, which are both shown on BBC and ITV in the UK. Working with brand consultants Turquoise, Creative Edge has recently rebranded the entire STV portfolio, a network of nine channels including the flagship STV1 and the recently launched kids channel, Ajyal. “Through this deal with Creative Edge, STV will develop and deliver superior, relevant and compelling content to our audiences, helping to ensure our channels are a ‚Äòmust-watch‚Äô within many more households around the country,” said Deputy Minister of Television Affairs, Dr Saleh Abdulaziz Almogailith (picture left). “We already have a long, successful and enjoyable relationship with Creative Edge and this deal, developed under the direction of His Excellency Mr Abdulaziz Khohga, confirms the critical role Creative Edge plays in the future of our business.” Assad Abu Aljadail CEO of Creative Edge (picture right) said, “We all recognise that we are in a tough economic climate and understand the challenges around and ahead of us. The Government, STV and Creative Edge are all genuine partners as we try to turn this supertanker around. We believe STV has a place in all Saudi and a base of loyalty giving it a great platform from which to grow. We‚Äôre proud of the deal and look forward to the years ahead.” [This article originally appeared on Gulf Marketing Review]
