A leading digital streaming platform for sports content globally, Eurovision Sport is part of the Eurovision Broadcasting Union (EBU) and is supported by 68 EBU members across 56 countries.

On a mission to democratise access to sport and connect fans to their favourite sports and players, the platform showcases a mix of sports content whilst leveraging public service media to provide free access to a broad audience.

An inclusive platform for all

Positioning itself as the leading platform for digital sports streaming, Eurovision Sport provides greater access and more content than ever before. Our challenge was to create a robust brand strategy and visual identity that would land the themes of inclusivity and accessibility whilst resonating with a broad audience.

Communicating the depth and breadth of the platform’s offer was key, so we needed to seamlessly integrate a mix of sports content, from niche sports to mainstream events to appeal to diverse users with diverse backgrounds, languages and abilities.

Engaging key stakeholders such as broadcasters and federations was essential from the start. Above and beyond getting their approval and engagement, we also needed to create a system that would ultimately work with a diverse range of partner logos.

The power of connection

The end result was an inclusive visual identity that emphasises the brand’s commitment to a diverse range of sports and underrepresented groups and speaks to diverse audiences.

Our brand idea was that Eurovision Sport was a connector, between sports and its fans, federations and broadcasters alike.

A multi-coloured stylised plus symbol represents the concept of ‘connection’ with the colours acknowledging the diversity of sports, audiences, federations and broadcasters. To address the challenge of partner co-branding, we developed a robust logo lock-up system that gave equal prominence to broadcasters’ and sports federations’ logos, whilst ensuring that Eurovision Sport maintains a consistent brand presence.
