When UEFA introduced a new league structure and format for its prestigious club competitions – the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League – they needed a comprehensive solution to bring the story to life across social media.
With the introduction of a new league structure, UEFA required a cohesive and scalable visual system that would seamlessly integrate across multiple platforms and competitions. The challenge was to create a dynamic, engaging, and easily adaptable solution that maintained brand consistency while allowing for unique storytelling elements across different leagues. Additionally, UEFA needed a way to support sponsor activations without compromising the integrity of their overarching brand identities.
UEFA’s diverse global audience consumes football content across various digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. To effectively communicate key moments such as fixtures, results, and fan engagement posts, UEFA required templates that would perform well in a digital-first environment. The need for sponsor-specific branding presented an additional layer of complexity, requiring a flexible yet cohesive approach.
We designed a suite of dynamic social media templates tailored for every moment of UEFA’s competitions. These templates were structured to accommodate day-to-day updates, celebratory milestones, and interactive fan-driven content such as voting polls and engagement posts. Our approach ensured UEFA could connect with their global audience with clarity and impact. To align with UEFA’s evolving brand identities, we adapted existing assets while crafting additional elements specifically optimized for social media. Each template was designed with responsiveness in mind, ensuring seamless performance across different platforms and formats, from static graphics to motion-based content.
Beyond league-specific content, we developed bespoke templates for UEFA’s sponsors. These sponsor-specific designs were tailored to their exclusive activation contracts, incorporating custom logos and branding elements while ensuring they fit within each brand’s overarching visual language. The designs spanned both static and video formats, enabling sponsors to maximise visibility and engagement while maintaining brand coherence.
The outcome was a flexible and visually striking toolkit that empowered UEFA to maintain brand consistency across all their competitions while embracing the distinctiveness of each league and sponsor partnership.
