SSA was the newly created national space agency for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Formerly known as the Saudi Space Commission, their new name and role marked the start of a bold new era in space activity for the Kingdom and its partners. This was an exciting opportunity within the global space industry.
SSA was keen to make their mark in the sector by defining a new future-facing approach to space agency branding.
We agreed that the solution had to be something unique to match their ambition, achieve stand-out, and to fuel national pride. At the time, the category was saturated with legacy brands, all speaking the same style of language, so it was an opportunity to cut through the noise.
Our brand idea, The Infinite Possibilities of Space, was brought to life through a unique symbol representing an infinity loop and stylised Saudi ‘S’. Manifested in an abstract glass-like form, it suggests a window of opportunity, reflecting the continuous nature of space, infinite possibility, and a sense of the unknown.
Taking their cue from our ‘S’ symbol, colour and form come together across the visual language through rich and atmospheric graphic vistas, inspired by the otherworldly palettes and landscapes of deep space. The end result is a bold and unique brand which captures humanity’s deep fascination with space.
